When do you first let your child wear deodorant? When they first ask you at like 2? Do you make them wait until they smell so bad that you are begging them to wear it? Does their teacher come to you and gently/or not so gently recommend it? We occasionally let our kids wear deodorant just for fun once in a while when they were small. They just want to be like us but Kristina is coming up to the age, I think, that she will need to wear it more often!

She has recently started sweating more in general. When shes running around and its warm out and when shes exercising for a long time. She will be 8 in just a few weeks and I think its almost time. I don't want to wait until it becomes an issue for her. I don't want her to go to school and end up with big armpit stains and have the kids making fun of her! The last thing I want is for anything to be harder for her than it has to be!

Recently, Unilever released the Tween Confidence Index, which suggests that tween confidence is short-lived but can be safe-guarded by maintaining strong communication between tweens and parents. Kristina and I have a pretty open relationship and I love that she comes to me with pretty much everything and we get talk through it! I love knowing that she comes to me with everything and anything. She has already had some strange questions but I love that she comes to me with them and isn't embarrassed about them at all!

Pediped

I could never have to many shoes for my kids. I am also super picky when it comes to shoes for my kids! They have to be good for their feet, easy to walk in, light, flexible, and cute! They also have to be easy for me or them to put on and take off. I haven't bought my kids cheap shoes for a long time now. Its just not somewhere I am willing to cut costs. We were sent a pair of the machine washable shoes for Brandon, the Adrian. They are awesome! I have machine washed many shoes in my life and these are the best. They still look new when they come out, not all worn out and misshaped and just looking crappy. It doesn't matter how new they were they look awful. Not the Pediped shoes though. They looked just as good when they came out as when they went in, except a lot cleaner :)

BEARPAW

After trying out the BEARPAW sandals this last summer I fell in love. I couldn't wait to try out their boots! They sent me the Meadow in smoke which looks like a brownish grey and I seriously love them! I have worn them everyday since they arrived. I am a flip flop girl at heart, ask anyone :) I love Fall and its my favorite season but I hate having to put on socks and shoes, its just not the same. My BEARPAW boots are so cozy and comfy that I don't mind having to put away my flip flops for the season.

They are great for tucking your jeans into if you wear skinnys but if your like me and look awful in a pair of skinnys them you can still look great with your jeans over top! I work in retail (clothing) and have shoe issues because I don't like cheap and uncomfortable shoes so I get in quite a bit of trouble because my shoes aren't always appropriate, think runners ;) ! I went into work with my new boots on last night and showed them off and they all loved them and were happy that I was wearing boots that I loved and that were appropriate! Yaaa BEARPAW and Yaaa me!

Old Navy makes Halloween easy

We have definitely started thinking about Halloween at our place, Kristina has been deciding on what to be. She never just wants to be something easy either. Last year she wanted to be a vampire princess, so we got the princess costume and did it up vampire style! This year she wants to do sort of the same thing but with a Dracula :)

Brandon is much easier, he is whatever I want him to be lol! Last year he was a giraffe and this year I wanted him to be something like a dinosaur. I like having him in a nice big warm and fuzzy costume because its pretty chilly here or raining. Its easier than trying to layer underneath a thin costume!

When Old Navy contacted me about doing a costume review for Halloween I was pretty excited! We love Old Navy clothing and I knew that I wouldn't be disappointed in their Halloween costumes! They sent Brandon a dragon costume and he was so excited when I opened it up! He wanted to wear it right away. He put it right on and ran around in it for about an hour growling the whole way! Kristina is starting to get more into having showers but she still loves a good bubble bath. Hooked on Phonics Master Reading Program with a Giveaway **Closed**

With school having started back up its time to get back into the routine of reading everyday and getting back into all of the other back to school routines! We read in the Summer but not like we do throughout the school year. Kristina is a little bit behind other kids her age with reading but I am confident that she will catch up before I know it.

Some of my favorites are the steaks, obviously, the cabbage rolls are one of my hubbys favorite's, and my all time favorite is the apple crisp. I have tried other store brought brands, paying more than at M&M Meats and I have to say that its totally worth the drive across town because its the best I tried and so much cheaper on top of that!

Eleven Collection’s shoes require minimum care. They are made of high quality leather and are naturally water resistant. For day-to-day cleaning, use a mild detergent or leather (suede/nubuck) cleaner and damp rag. Though not necessary, you may also use a water repellant spray to increase their water resistance. We do not recommend that you store wet suede/nubuck shoes near a heat source. We do not recommend machine washing for our shoes.

Looking back at favorties and looking forward to Christmas

There is a lot of buzz going around online about Christmas! Can you believe it? I sure can, I already have a few things put aside and am thinking about what else to get the kids this year. What will the must have toys be and what will end up never to be touched again?

My appliques are made with eco felt (100% post consumer recycled plastic bottles) so you can feel good about your purchase.

I try to make clothes that are hip and sassy. Each shirt is my personal design (just me and my scissors). Please allow for slight variations. Machine wash inside out in cold water, line dry only.

Maggie's Organics with a Giveaway **Closed**

Well today was Kristina's first day back at school and what did she have to wear? Socks and shoes! Fall seems to have officially arrived and that means its socks and shoes now most if not all days :( It makes me kind of sad as I love to live in my flip flops but that's the way it goes.
