Earth Baby Organics carries lots of baby organic bath products. They also have a sunscreen, refreshing mist, and diaper cream. There prices are great and there products are awesome!

We got to try out the organic sun n fun sunscreen, organic cuddle soft lotion, organic tiny bubbles shampoo, and the organic playfull sudzz baby bath gel. We tried all of them and they are great. The shampoo and the baby bath gel can both be used as a shampoo and body wash. They smell great, rinse clean and a little bit goes a long way. The lotion is very moisturising and great with Brandons dry skin and dried to almost a powder like finish.

Even though it isn't summer and we didn't need any sunscreen I put it on one day anyways to see how it went on and felt once it was on. It went on nice and didn't feel all greasy or anything. This is something that I am looking forward to using more this summer and would even use it on myself.

One lucky winner will take home whichever two products they want!

Better Baby Bums with Giveaway **Closed**

Better Baby Bums was started up by two moms who between the two of them have 6 kids under the age of five. They are passionate about researching the products they carry and try them all out themselves. The "Better Bits" below each of the product descriptions is where they write about what they thought of the products themselves. They believe in their products and use them on all of there own kids!

When Better Baby Bums offered to send me some natural disposable diapers. I was a little unsure but tried them out, they are the Earths Best Tendercare diapers. We only use one brand of diapers in our house. We have tried another name brand type and no name ones and have never been happy with another diaper. I was willing to try them but was not to hopeful.

They are:

100% chlorine free
wood pulp made from renewable, sustainable forests
super, non-toxic absorbency
natural, absorbent materials made from wheat and corn
non-woven inner and outer cover made of plant-based materials
latex free
dye free
perfume free
stretch waist
full stretch side panels

What did I think of these diapers? Well I love them as much as my one name brand kind. I actually love them more because they are so much better on the environment. I also loved that they were plain white with no pictures on them. Great for photos. They held a lot of pee, and never leaked. And there is nothing in them that is bad for my baby. That's what helps people sleep better at night. If we were not starting potty training right now I would keep on buying these diapers!

Better Baby Bums just launched there US site and the first 100 orders will get a free WaterGeeks water bottle!

Better Baby Bums has offered one reader a 27oz filtered WaterGeeks Water bottle and all of my readers 20% off any purchase over $50 buy using code funkybum it expires Feb 14th 2010.

To Enter:

Go to Better Baby Bums and tell me what other product caught your eye, there are lots!

Rolling Grove Organics with Giveaway **Closed**

Here's a little about Rolling Grove Organics:

After my second child was born in 2006, my interest in natural and organic products grew. There are a handful of stores in the area which carry a small selection of toys, bottles and diapers but very few that were able to offer everything that I was looking for including organic clothing and bedding. I tossed the idea of a retail store around to some friends and family and received mixed reactions. I was asked about the possibility of starting an online store. The more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea of starting my retail venture online. After 18 long months, RollingGrove.com was launched!

I am not an environmental expert but have spent countless hours researching and reading about the effects of the products we use on and around our children. I believe I have put together a very good selection of natural and organic children’s products and plan to add more soon. My goal is to enable any parent to start and continue to raise his/her child(ren) without surrounding them in a chemical cocktail. I am passionate about offering a wide variety of products for a fair price. I encourage any feedback and product suggestions you may have.
Rolling Grove organics carries so many different products for families trying to be a little bit green to families who are as green as they can be. They carry a huge variety of toys, clothing, stuffies, sippy cups, diaper bags and so much more. All of it great for your babe or child and great on the environment.

We received an organic Blirt t-shirt for Brandon and two pairs of Katvig organic underwear for him. They are adorable and sized just right. They wash up great and I love having him in organic as much as possible. Having organic underwear is something that I am hoping to always have him in. It seems like a no brainer to me if you had to pick one clothing item that was organic what it would be. Underwear is on some of the most sensitive skin on the body so I don't want any chemicals there.

Rolling Grove organics has offered one of my readers a Blirt shirt in their choice!

To Enter:

Go to Rolling Grove organics and tell me what item you would love to have (other than the ones I mentioned here)

Mountain Sky with Giveaway **Closed**

Mountain Sky creates some amazing natural bath and body products. Here's a little bit about them:

Raynald Losier and Nina George started the family business in 1993 to stay home with their kids, Malaya Mountain and Rahel Sky. It was a labour of love and persistence that created the first Mountain Sky soap bars in our basement.

The family business has grown into a separate 7,000 square foot facility residing in the Canadian mountains. We use pristine mountain spring water to create all of our hand-cut soaps.

Our company and products reflect our commitment to a higher quality of life for our family, employees, environment and community.

Being from BC like me I was eager to learn more about there products and watched their videos about their Castile Soap. Boy was I hooked. I knew that they were sending me some but I still wanted to run right to the store and buy some! I held off because I knew how silly that was when some would be arriving on my doorstep in a few days but I was very excited to try it.

Well was it as awesome as it sounded? I am sure that's what you want to know. It really was. I am loving it. Basically it comes at full strength, the store bought soap comes diluted. Why pay for water? I don't know. I guess I didn't know there was another option. The bottle is $12.99 and is 472ml. I used about 2/3 of the bottle and mixed it 1 part soap to 3 parts water. I got the biggest bottle of baby shampoo body wash I have ever seen. You can see the dilution list and its different for what you want to use the soap for. That's way cheaper than store bought soap full of chemicals and this soap can be used so many different ways. You can make face wash, hand soap, body wash, and baby wash.

This is definitely something that I will continue to purchase. Its like a nobrainer. Cheaper than store bought and all natural with no extras added in.

We were also sent a lip balm, milk and oats soap bar and an energizing foot bar. I love all of them. The raspberry Love Thy Lips lip balm has become my new favorite. Its nice and light, very moisturising and smells and tastes delicious. I love that all of their products are all natural and feel great about using them and having my family use them. I actually originally gave the lip balm to my daughter but ended up stealing it back because she has so many and I love this one so much.

The energizing foot butter smells amazing and is working great on my dry cracked heels and the soap was great for my eczema. I have been recommending these products and this company to everyone. I can't say enough about how much I love it! There prices are great and as soon as I run out I will be placing a large order :)

Mountain Sky has generously offered one Fun and Funky Mommy reader the chance to win all of the products I got to try. I guarantee you will be hooked too!

Go to Mountain Sky and tell me what product grabs your eye, other than the ones I mentioned here.

Squishy Fish with Giveaway **Closed**

Squishy Fish is a Canadian company located in Ontario. They try to be as environmentally friendly as they can. Starting in August 2009, all of there manufacturing will be done locally, within 60 kilometres of their office in Durham Region, Ontario (Canada). The use of local resources not only contributes to the local economy but also allows them to monitor production and ensure that each and every garment is made with care, in an ethical manner and free of toxic chemicals.

They use only the best quality, 100% Control Union Certified Organic Cotton and non-toxic, Azo-free dyes, and all of their packaging is made from recycled, reusable and sustainably made products. Squishy Fish has gone the distance in ensuring a high quality, ethical and eco-friendly product line. This gives their customers the peace of mind they expect when buying clothing for a tiny loved one.

The designs come from their inspiration, their kids! From their true sense of adventure to their limitless imaginations, they want to capture it all. Each of their designs is a tribute to childhood and all of the little moments that parents treasure most.

We received the Explore tee for Brandon in 18-24 months. I usually like to get him 2 or 3 for shirts because bigger is better and I can't stand when he can only wear a shirt for a few weeks. I am loving this shirt. The size was fine, it fits him great and he isn't going to grow out of in a few weeks. The cotton is organic and a really nice weight. Its nice and thick and so soft! It has been washing up great. It doesn't stretch out or get misshapen. I am overall very happy with this shirt. The only thing that could make Squishy Fish better was if they started going up higher than 24 months :)

Reading Glasses Shopper with Giveaway **Closed**

It seems more and more people are needing glasses. I don't know if I am just noticing it more or what but it seems that most people have glasses. Whether just for reading or for all of the time. I wear glasses all of the time but my husband just found out that he needs reading glasses. He notices it most once hes been on the computer playing poker for to long.
Reading Glasses Shopper sent him a pair to review. He was excited for them to arrive, he wouldn't admit it but he kept asking if they had come. Sadly the day after we got them Brandon got a hold of them and busted them in half. They weren't cheap flimsy glasses either, hes just a rough and tumble two year old and when nobody was looking he grabbed them and snap! You could say that my husband was a little bit upset.

When you look on Reading Glasses Shopper you can search by style, gender, the power you need, or specials. They have a huge selection and go from +1 to +4 and even have sunglasses. I was very happy with the service I got from the Reading Glasses Shopper and would definitely buy from them.
Check out these great glossaries they just added to their site! Reading glasses glossary and the eye health glossary.

Crystal Clear Photography with giveaway **Closed**

I love taking pictures of my kids and I have a big wall of photos in my living room of all my favorite photos of my kids and Kris and I. When I look up at that wall I have pictures of when Brandon was 2 weeks old, our wedding day and some cute ones of one or both kids. Most of the pictures up there though are taken by professional photographers.
That's because professionals always can do it a bit, or a lot, better than we can. They just seem to have an eye for where a good shot would be and how it will turn out in the end. They have the proper equipment and know all the tips and tricks in using it properly. They also have the photo software for touching up and brightening photos. And whatever else they do that we have no idea about :)
When I was going to meet Crystal from Crystal Clear Phototgraphy I had no idea what to expect. She just said to meet her at the library and that there were some cool walls around the area and we could just walk around and see what would work. Kris suggested that I put the kids in jeans and cowboy boots and so I just threw brown hoodies on them both.

From my angle, not behind the lens, I thought the pictures would turn out pretty good but had no idea how good. You just don't know how they will turn out unless you have some artistic ability and are behind the lens.
The pictures were amazing. I was so happy when I got to see them online, the same night as the photos were taken! I got the prints today and was blown away all over again. She had them printed on metallic paper which I wasn't so sure about but wow! They are hard to describe but have a shine to them and look very cool with the sunlight shining on them! I am going to get more frames today to make room on the family wall.

These are photos that your whole family will want copies of. They can order them off of the online album on Crystals site and can be paid for via pay pal! I have to say that these are some of the cheapest professional photography prints I have yet to see. I got the photo session and 2 retouched 8x10's (a value of $125) and ordered another 8x10. My mom even ordered some too! I can't say enough about Crystal and Crystal Clear Photography. Everyone who has seen the prints loves them. My girlfriend is even going to book some photos with Crystal!
If you want some photos done you better book soon as I am sure that will be booking up fast in no time at all!

Crystal has offered one of my local winners the same package I got. A photo session and 2 retouched 8x10's (a value of $125.) The only thing is you need to be in the Comox Valley or be willing to travel here for the photo shoot! This can be for you, your kids, your family etc.

Goldberger Toy with Giveaway **Closed**

How many dolls does your child have? My daughter had a whole bin full but my son only has a few. When we got the Seedlings doll from Goldberger Toy Brandon and Kristina were in love. Its the cutest little doll for a little one. Its all soft and even comes with a little soft bottle to feed the baby and wearing a cute little cloth diaper.

Brandon carries his doll around at least once a day. He loves to feed it juice. He very carefully puts the bottle right up to the babies mouth and yells juice at it. Its so cute, he really yells at it too, hes so excited to be giving it juice. He even takes it into his room and puts it in his bed and then comes out with his finger over his lips saying shhhhh. Its adorable. I love to see the nurturing side of him instead of always seeing the boy tough and tumble side of him. Not that its bad to be so rough and tumble but sometimes its nice to have him be so nurturing.
For more than 90 years The Goldberger Company has been creating award winning dolls and toys specifically for infants and young children (0-3 years old). They remain committed to designing toys that are safe, age appropriate and fun! There toys are just as parent friendly as kid friendly in their quality, their maintenance and their value.

Goldberger is the first doll company to offer a Guarantee on there dolls. They make the promise to repair or replace all dolls, depending on the doll or the ‘injury’.
Most of all, after more than ninety years in the business, they understand the special connection children have with their beloved dolls – and The Goldberger’s Company’s belief, “We believe that dolls are meant to be loved for life” is inherent in all they do.

The Seedlings doll Brandon got uses cotton fibers for all of their surfaces and clothing. Their soft bodies are filled with all new materials-polyester fibers. And Seedlings are completely machine washable. I love this doll and love that it will last his lifetime even more!

If you already own a Goldberger doll you can register it so that you are included in future offers, discounts, and updates!
Goldberger Toys has offered up another Seedlings doll to one lucky winner! They have also offered all of my readers 15% off your first purchase. Use code FUNKY to get 15% off, it never expires but can only be used once per person.

Shutter Buddy with Giveaway **Closed**

Here's a little bit about how the Shutter Buddy came to be!

With the holidays approaching, Brendan Parnell was anxious to get a picture of 5-week old Audrey underneath the Christmas tree. His mother-in-law had mentioned this idea about 1000 times, and he was feeling some pressure to get the perfect shot. Audrey, however, was tired. Like a typical newborn, she was not terribly concerned with photography and would not look at the camera. As the short window between eating and sleeping began to close, Brendan had an “Ah-ha” moment. Without a word, he ran into the other room (leaving his wife, Molly, slightly confused and irritated at his disappearance). Within minutes he was back with a piece of blank paper folded into a cone and taped to the camera. On the inside of this paper he had drawn a spiral with thick black magic marker...and magic was what seemed to happen next! At only 5 weeks old, Audrey was absolutely captivated by the image. She looked right into the lens of the camera, allowing for the perfect shot. Now, if only we had used a decent camera or taken more time to set up the shot! Who knew then that these holiday pictures would be forever memorialized as the first testimonial of the ShutterBuddy™? After many hours at the sewing machine and a few design changes later, we are very pleased to offer the ShutterBuddy™ to you and your family. We truly hope that our product will enrich your lives and preserve precious memories through wonderful photographs of your baby.

We were sent a Shutter Buddy to review and I was utterly disappointed to find out it didn't fit on our camera! We have a DSL and the flash pop's up on the top so it doesn't fit. But, my cousin just had a gorgeous baby boy and so she will be enjoying all of the benefits of the Shutter Buddy.

It is designed with the black and white checkers which has been proven to stimulate babies. They can only see black and white and the pattern just mesmerizes them! And for only $19.99 how can you go wrong!

Shutter Buddy has offered one of my readers a Shutter Buddy!

Safety Tat with Giveaway **Closed**

Do you ever worry about losing your child for just a second, in an amusement park, mall or the park. Can you imagine the fear and horror you would feel? I can even though I don't want to think about it, this could very easily happen to you or anyone you know!

You can give your kids your cell phone number and get them to memorize your address but what if under the stress of it all they can't remember? Then what? Hope that you find them?

I don't mean to stress you all out or be so negative but its just a real thing that can happen and I like to do everything that I can to prevent such horrible things from happening. I get my kids to wear life jackets, wear there seat belt, so why not tattoo my cell number on them. Not permanently of course ;)

Put the odds in your favor for a safe return, with SafetyTat. SafetyTat is a fun and colorful kids temporary safety tattoo. We have two distinct types of child id temporary tattoos: "Original" which are customized by us with your mobile phone number and applied with water or "Quick Stick Write-on!" which are peel-and-stick tattoos shipped blank so you can write in your mobile number with the provided tattoo marking pen. When applied to the arm of your child or loved one, SafetyTat provides a highly visible form of identification that stays in place even when wet!

I love both types but think that the Quick stick Write on is more practical in case you get to your destination and there is no water around, no need to plan ahead, just peel and stick! It even comes with a permanent marker to write in your number! They even make an allergy tattoo so that if your little one has an allergy everyone knows it and they shouldn't accidentally ingest something that they are allergic too.

We received the Quick Stick Write ons and they are great! They come in girl, boy and mixed designs so you can use them on all of your kids!

Saftey Tat has offered two of my readers a sample pack of either boy, girl, or multi packs! They have even offered up a discount for all of you. Use code FunandFunkyMommy to get 10% off any purchase of $10 or more untill January 29th 2010

Renee and Jeremy with Giveaway **Closed**

Renee & Jeremy are parents and veteran singer-songwriters who make music that both parents and children adore. Their debut, “It’s A Big World,” is fast becoming a lullaby classic, and the new record, “C’mon,” seems fit to break the family music genre wide open, with its serious beats, honey sweet hooks and shimmering harmonies.

Renee Stahl’s solo records, Melancholy Pop and Hopeful Romantic have garnered her a dedicated and growing following. Renee lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Paul and her daughter, Amelia.

Jeremy Toback is an original member of the band Brad along with Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam, and also had a solo radio hit with “You Make Me Feel.” Jeremy is currently a member of the electro rock band, ONS, and resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Fabienne, and two sons, Miles and Ezra.

C’mon and It’s A Big World were both produced by Herb Graham, Jr of John Cale and Macy Gray fame.

Renee and Jeremy have 2 CDs out right now. They have their original CD Its a Big World and they just released C'Mon. We received C'Mon and I have to say both my kids loved it! And quite frankly so did I. You know those kids CD's that you never want to listen to because they drive you batty and you just can't stand to listen to? I have those and I put them on because the kids love them but I just can't stand them.

Getting Renee and Jeremys CD C'Mon in the mail was a blessing! We put it in right away and were all hooked. The kids loved it and I actually liked it too. I even found myself listening to it on my own.

Renee and Jeremy have generously offered ALL of my readers a free song download! To get your free song download check out the link on the left hand side of my blog, right underneath current contests! And one lucky winner will get the same CD I got, C'Mon

To Enter:

Go to Renee and Jeremys site and tell me the name of one of their songs on either of their albums.

Smart Knit Kids with Giveaway again! **Closed**

Smart Knit kids has been on Fun and Funky Mommy before, you can check that out here. They have created a great product due to a need that they saw that needed to be filled. Socks can be very annoying, bunching up and sliding around sideways and twisting and turning. Socks that have seams, which almost all socks have, can be very annoying. That's why Smart Knit Socks created a seamless sock!

In the past we got to try out the kids socks, the knee highs and the regular ones. Kristina wears them all of the time, they are the first ones she goes for! This time Smart Knit Kids sent me some socks for me! I was very excited to get my new socks all washed up and ready to wear. I wore them as soon as they were clean.
They were just as good as Kristina said they were. You can't even tell which side is the top and which side is the bottom. Once I had worn them a few times I could tell because the bottom was a bit more worn than the top. They washed up great though and never stretched out. I was also very impressed with the sizing.

I am usually a size 10 shoe. I got the size small and medium. Size 5-8 women's, and 9-11 women's. I first gave the smalls to Kristina because I assumed there would be no way they would fit me. After she wore hers and I wore mine they both ended up in the laundry together. I washed them and didn't realize that hers were in there to and I wore them. Joke was on me, when I got dressed the next day I pulled the other pair of black socks out of my drawer, and thought, opps, better give these ones to Kristina. But when I opened them up they were the bigger pair. Well I guess the smaller ones fit me just fine! I would recommend ordering your proper size but I was very impressed that the small fit!

The bigger Smart Knit socks come in small through XL. Women's and men's sizes 5-14!

Smart Knit Kids has offered one reader 3 pairs of their choice!

Bobux USA with giveaway of 100% Eco-Friendly Shoes **Closed**

Heres a little bit about how Bobux came to be!

Bobux International Ltd was formed in January 1991 when New Zealand designers Chris and Colleen Bennett launched a unique, innovative and new category of soft soled leather shoes for children under their brand, Bobux.

Chris invented the original and distinctive styling of the original Bobux shoes for his oldest daughter Chloe when she was 9 months old. Says Chris an Architect ”my daughter’s shoes had laces that kept on coming undone and falling off her feet. This was a source of constant frustration for my wife and I and knew there had to be a better way.”

“I took some of her shoes, replaced the laces with elastic and at the same time observed she loved wearing her cotton pre walkers with the soft fabric soles.” “Not very durable outside but by replacing the cotton uppers and soles with leather and suede and some clever design changes such as adding the original Bobux elastic ankle device, a new shoe category was born.
Other mothers were so attracted to the cool funky shoes that they were soon asking how to buy them for their own children.

The response was phenomenal. One weekend Chris and Colleen set up a stall at the Victoria Park craft market in Auckland and within 2 hours had sold out their entire stock of 60 pairs.
The public response was overwhelming and within 6 months the little soft leather shoes that stayed on were in full production and had taken over the basement garage of the family’s home in Auckland.

The company employed two sales representatives and in the first year over 8000 pairs were sold in children’s and footwear stores throughout New Zealand. At the end of the first year the Company appointed a distributor in Australia with such success that in 1992 Chris joined a New Zealand business group to Canada and appointed a Canadian agent based in Vancouver.

Word soon began to spread and enquiries started flooding in from countries around the World.
Since Bobux first introduced the world to its ‘soft soled leather shoes that stay on’, many imitators have copied the original Bobux elastic ankle design concept.

However says Chris "imitation is the ultimate form of flattery.”

“The companies that have copied us in the past haven’t developed the same design and innovation culture that we had from day one and the new products the company plans to release from 2007 onwards will be more difficult to copy so blatantly.”

Currently, Bobux products are sold in over 18 countries world-wide including most countries in Europe, as well as USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

We received a gorgeous pair of Bobux original shoes, the leather slippers. They are awesome. They have so many sizes available. From 0-6 months all the way up to 5x (5 - 6 years). They are made with very soft all natural eco-leather. And the best part, they are made in New Zealand.

How great is that? I love finding products that are not made in China! It means even more money in the pockets of locals, well New Zealanders. At least its not going towards paying kids 5c and hour to put them together!

Bobux has offered one of my readers a pair of the original Bobux baby shoes, the leather slipper ones!

New winner and an update

So I have been messing around with my blog a bit, I am sure that you can tell :) I spent about 3 hours trying to find a way to change my button but without you having to change the code you have but I can't for the life of me figure it out. So bad news is that all posts from here on out you need to have my new button for. But the good news is that my button and code are finally up and working properly! I am so sorry about that, I know its a bit of a pain.

The other bit of news I have is that I have to pick a new winner for the Stortz and Associates giveaway of the Sprig Eco Truck. I made a mistake and its only for Canada. Thank you to Traci for being so understanding about it!

So the new winner is comment number 122

Anne Geddes with Giveaway **Closed**

I am sure that you have heard of Anne Geddes before, who hasn't when they have kids. She creates all of those gorgeous prints of babies dressed up like animals and just looking so adorable. But I bet you didn't know that she also has a line of clothing that she started up in 2001. Well maybe you did, it has been around almost 10 years. I certainly didn't know about it until I saw it online somewhere. She even started selling her line of clothing in her own shop in the downtown Disney district in Anaheim California.

What kind of clothes does she create? Of course only the cutest little outfits that can create the same look as her prints give. She has some gorgeous basics that every mom and babe need as well as the cute unique pieces that everyone will oh and ah over. She makes preemie and baby clothes, toddler clothes and maternity and women's clothing. Yes all of that!

She also still sells her prints, cards, calenders, journals, toys, and dolls. She sells almost everything! You can get it all in one place, online, in her online store or in person at her own shop in the downtown Disney district in Anaheim California. Pick up a staple for your little ones wardrobe or a baby gift that's sure to please.
Anne Geddes was kind enough to send us a gorgeous Tiger Jacket in natural for Brandon. The jacket comes in pink as well as the natural. When I unwrapped it I couldn't stop rubbing it. It was so soft I don't even know how to describe it. Its thicker than cotton like fleece but its so much softer, and cozy. I got the 3T for Brandon because some 2T's don't fit and the 3T is a bit big which is good. You can roll up the sleeves and it looks like they are supposed to be rolled up and then we get a whole extra year out of it. It even has the cutest little ears on the hood!

Anne Geddes has offered up a Tiger Jacket in the winners choice of size and color to one lucky reader.
