CSN Stores

I am sure most of you have seen me talking about CSN Stores before, they have over 200 stores with pretty much everything you can imagine! Bedding, shoes, toys, baby furniture, rugs, tools, lighting and so so so much more!!

While it was super hard to choose what to review from CSN Stores I finally narrowed it down after a few hours on their site, its really addicting! My husband has really gotten into fishing in the last two months or so and we have about 20 salmon fillets sitting in our freezer. I love salmon and could eat it everyday, for dinner, smoked, candied, mmmmm.

We had been wrapping all our fish in saran and then a freezer bag but it has gotten to be very wasteful, time consuming and still not keeping out all the freezer burn. When Kris is fishing we can have 20-40 fillets in the freezer at any given time and don't necessarily eat them all for a few months. I would hate to have to throw out some food because it was all freezer burned and not edible. What a waste, its happened to us before as I am sure it has happened to you too.

Not any more with the Deni Magic Vac Turbo Pump Vacuum Sealer! I was thrilled when it arrived as Kris caught 4 fish the day before and was going out that night for another 4! The next night we pulled it all out and read the instructions at the counter and had our first fish vacuum sealed within 5 minutes. It was so easy to use. I am still tweaking how big to make the bags so that I am not wasting the bags and putting even less into the landfill!

To use the Deni Magic Vac Turbo Pump Vacuum Sealer all you do is use the built in cutter to cut the size of bag you want. You place one end of the bag into the sealer and hold down the black part for about 7 seconds and it seals that end. Then you fill the bag with whatever you want to fill it with and then put it back in the sealer, this time you put the small sucking part and close the lid. Once its as sealed as you would like, or totally sucked dry, you push on the black piece and hold it down again for about 7 seconds and its sealed!

The only thing I was surprised about was that when you push down to seal it you can see a small amount, it was very small amount, of air go back in when you go to seal it, it wasn't enough air to do any harm really and from what I have been told most vacuum sealers do this. It was such a breeze to use and to go even faster I started making all the bags I needed for whatever I was sealing and then filled them all then just sucked and sealed them one at a time and that was super fast. Way faster and cheaper than saran wrap and a freezer bag and no freezer burn! I am in love! At only $49.99 this is a super good deal!!!

I also got two big replacement rolls because when we are vacuum sealing up 4 fish every couple of days we go through lots!!! Be sure to check out CSN Stores for all your shopping needs!!

Kay Green is an entrepreneur, business owner, speaker and new mom mentor in Hillsboro Oregon. She started My Precious Kid in 2001 after the adoption of her 4th child. We got a Blueberry pocket diaper in cow print for Brandon from My Precious Kid. We are so close to potty training but he still needs a diaper for naps, bedtime, and when we go out. Since we got our "cow" diaper as Brandon calls it, he has been waking up from his nap dry so its nice to know that we can just wash the diaper and use it again tomorrow instead of having to keep throwing them in the garbage.

I used cloth diapers when Brandon was about one but after a few months they started to give him a rash. Looking back I wonder if it was built up detergent but I tried everything and it wouldn't go away unless he was in disposables. So we have been using disposables for his whole two years other than about 6 months. I really miss using them because they are sooooo much better for the environment and so much cheaper not to mention cuter. We can go through a $35 case of diapers in about 3 weeks so if we got 15 blueberries we would have broken even after less than a year if my math is right! So after that they are free and then you can use them for additional children or sell them or pass them on, they aren't just filling up the landfill!

This Blueberry diaper is so soft and cozy up against Brandon's skin. It washes up great, doesn't pill and is very absorbent with two liners that you can use. We just use one at nap time and two at bedtime. Its great because if he wakes up dry at nap time we just use it again that night at bedtime and then wash it the next day and its ready to go again! The best part, its good from 10-35 lbs!!!

We didn’t set out to become the nation’s leading natural frozen food brand. All we wanted to do was create a business that would allow us to earn a living by providing convenient and tasty natural vegetarian meals for people like ourselves, who appreciated good food, but were often too busy to cook "from scratch."

Since then Amy’s has created over 88 frozen meals, including pizzas, pocket sandwiches, pot pies, entrées, snacks and whole meals. In 1999, we introduced a grocery line that now includes canned soups, beans and chili as well as jarred pasta sauces and salsas. Our foods are carried by all natural food stores, supermarkets and some club stores in the United States, Canada and abroad.

Although we have considerably expanded our production facilities and the number of people we employ, we have remained a family owned and operated business, sensitive to the needs of our customers.

This book was amazing! It took me a while to read only because I never seem to have time to read but whenever I picked it up I couldn't put it down! It also makes me think about friends and family members relationships with their fathers. My Living Stories app with a $25 iTunes card Giveaway **Closed**

The My Living Stories apps combine beautiful artwork, narration and interactive features in an easy to use platform that is perfect for preschoolers to read along all on their own, without any help. My Living Stories are a great solution for entertaining on-the-go or as an aid for teaching children to read at home. The apps allow for your child to read along with English or French narration or read the stories themselves. Interactive sounds and animation bring stories to life. Another great feature is the ability to record your own voice to go along with the story (this feature requires an iPhone or iPod Touch with microphone capabilities). My Living Story classic stories include Princess & the Pea, King Midas, The Tortoise & the Hare, Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

We got an iTouch a few months ago and love it! Mostly my husband uses it but I love having it when we travel and are out and about and the kids get bored. I love that I can have some apps on their for the kids to occupy them when they get antsy and bored. I just used it yesterday while at the river watching Daddy fish and to keep Brandon from going crazy!



We tried out the Princess & the Pea, The Tortoise & the Hare, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears! Brandon figured it out in no time at all. I had to show him how to push the button to turn it to the next page and he couldn't get enough of it! He was running with the Hare, laughing and imitating everything they were doing. He loved it. I can't wait to hook up a microphone and recode myself saying the story.



These books are great for learning how to read, occupying toddlers, and even older children. For only $1.99 you really can't go wrong! The imagery is so nice and isn't all wild and crazy, its a great way to relive the old classics!

Funky Fleece with a Giveaway **Closed**

Funky Fleece sent Brandon and Kristina both a hat and matching mitts! While they were super excited to try them on I couldn't let them wear them around all day as it was in its mid 20's! The patterns that you have to choose from are amazing, there really is something for everyone! They make hats, robes, ponchos, dog coats, and so much more! Kristina got hers in a really cool and funky flower pattern that she loved and I picked green camo for Brandon and its so cute!

Sizing was great, the hats have a seamed rim on them that you can roll up at first and then roll down when they are a bit bigger so that they last a long time. Fleece is warm and cozy, great for in the winter and also keeps the wind out of your hair in the Fall and Spring!

I'm Marcie and I run this boutique. What you will find on this website is a collection of maternity, baby & toddler products that come highly recommended by myself! If I wouldn't use it... you won't find it in my store.

As a mom myself I know that baby's can be VERY expensive. You can feel confident in knowing that what you purchase from us will not become a dust collector! Baby Grins is a huge online store with hundreds of products to choose from. Marcie asked if she could send me a dapper snapper to review and I was all over it because Brandon is a little skinny mini! Finding pants that fit him right is next to impossible. He basically lives in sweat pants, which isn't the end of the world but some nice pants or jeans now and again would be nice!



Dapper snappers are a stretchy belt with snaps that loop around the belt loops on the outside of pants or shorts. Instead of tightening from the inside, which can dig in and not even tighten enough, this tightens from the outside and works great. Because its stretchy it will last for a few years as well, it fits 9 months to 5 years. Toddlers waists don't grown that much, its more in length so this is a great investment at only $14.50.

Until recently the choices were limited to a cumbersome belt that made diaper changing and potty training nearly impossible and adjustable waistband pants cost twice as much as regular pants. With as fast as kids grow, who can afford it?

Shirts that Go

Our Inspiration - It is what we are about

When our children see vehicles such as trucks and trains they are just AMAZED and captivated by them. We share that feeling at Shirts that Go! All vehicles are interesting, but certain ones are really noticed by kids and tap into their imagination and wonder about the world. Let's consider a few examples that have inspired us.

We take our boys to watch the trains go by at a local train line. We park in, of all places, a fire station parking lot! The parking lot happens to be right on the rail line and only 50 feet from a railroad crossing (with the gates and everything). We know the times roughly for when the Amtrak comes by on Sunday mornings, so we sit in our van and wait for the train to come. Soon, a train horn can be heard off in the distance... the boys start to get crazy excited. The excitement builds as we hear a few more train horns as the train approaches other nearby crossings on the way toward us. Then... the crossing gates start to come down with the familiar "ding ding" warning bells. We are all at the windows now and the boys are riveted. Then - here comes the diesel engine at about 60 miles per hour. It's loud, it's HUGE, and the ground is shaking a bit. WOW!! Boys are there with eyes wide open and just blown away by the experience of this incredible machine. Soon, it is gone, and we are kind of spinning as the energy level comes down a bit. We all have a bit of adrenaline surging from that experience for the next 20 minutes or so, and we are so excited about our day.

Sometimes we find ourselves at an intersection in our van and there is nothing too exciting going on. Just sitting there waiting for the light to change and the kids are in the back chatting. Suddenly, a siren is blaring and a massive bright red fire engine is trying to get through the intersection. The boys forget whatever it was they were fighting about and are wide eyed with WOW! They have seen this before, but it never gets old. What an amazing machine!

There are many examples of this that we all see with our children. What we are seeing with these experiences is their sense of wonder about the world being brought right to the surface by these amazing vehicles. So, what is Shirts that Go! all about? Cool designs on t-shirts... or is there something more? We are trying to connect with that sense of wonder about the world with our line of kids t-shirts. We understand that we cannot bottle that energy and put it down on a shirt somehow. What we can do though is provide awesome shirts with realistic vehicles shown in motion to let the kids share their love for these vehicles. To us this is all about adventure, travel, transportation, early concepts about careers, imagination, dreams, possibilities, awe, and of course FUN!

Like most other boys Brandon is obsessed with vehicles of all sorts! He loves seeing them and watching them go by. They are some of his first words, bike, bus, and plane. He loves picking his Sissy up from the bus and watching the big yellow bus go by. He also loves any sort of motorbike, he actually can vibrate from excitement when motorbikes go by.

Most kids shirts that are out there are cartoon shirts, the planes and bikes and trains are not realistic looking, they are more animated and so they are cute but they don't represent what the real thing looks like! Shirts that Go have the best shirts that I have ever seen that actually look like the real thing! They have planes, bikes, trains, firetrucks, bulldozers, cement trucks and more!

I would also recommend ordering a size up as they can run a bit on the small side! We got Brandon the train one and he loves it, its one of those shirts that as soon as its clean hes begging to wear it again! Be sure to check them out for the little man in your life!!

I was sent some Almond cleansing lotion, Almond moisture cream and the Almond intensive facial cream.


The Almond cleansing lotion was very nice, it cleaned my skin of everything and left it feeling moisturized and refreshed, it has little to no scent and was very nice to use. It didn't react at all to my skin and was great overall. The Almond Moisture Cream was a nice daily moisturizer, not to light but not at all heavy. It left my skin feeling nice and moisturized but not at all greasy. The Almond intensive facial cream is just a bit heavier than the Almond moisture cream to be used when you are a bit drier or just need to add more moisture to your routine or even just a certain spot.



After using these products for about 2 weeks I couldn't be happier with them and look forward to trying out more Weleda products!

Catchick6 Creations creates one of a kind pieces for kids that are amazing! I love so many of them. She uses premade underwear and training pants and adds her own appliques to make them one of a kind! We got to try out a pair of each, underwear and training pants. They are so cute and Brandon loves to wear them! She has so many designs to choose from the problem comes with choosing only one or two!

We decided, well I did, to go with the sock monkey and a pirate! Two of the favorite kids toys! They are so cute and I love them! With it being so hot out this Summer Brandon often runs around in only undies or training pants, or nothing at all. These underwear and trainers are sure to be noticed! Everyone comments on them!

She also makes wool longies and shorts that are just to cute for words! Her sewing is amazing! If I used cloth diapers still I would so get a pair of her longies! ATG Stores with another giveaway **Closed**

I have worked with ATG Stores in the past, and they have some amazing products!

ATG Stores has over 500 stores all with hundreds of products in each store. Basically if you can think it they will have it. They have almost everything you can think of! For review this month I picked out the Melissa and Doug shipping cart, which I have been eyeing up for months for the kids, and some Melissa and Doug food sets! My kids love Melissa and Doug toys, especially the food sets. We have a wooden kitchen that at 7 and 2 they both use almost daily. A little less in the Summer but definitely daily in the Fall and Winter. Play food never gets old and is always a good investment in my opinion.

We had a few Melissa and Doug food sets already and decided to add the Magnetic bottles, and the fridge food set to our collection! The kids couldn't have been any happier! The shopping cart arrived first and there was a big picture of it on the box and they were freaking out for me to put it together for them right away! It was a good thing that it only came in three pieces and it was a snap to put together. All you do it put the two pieces of the cart together and add a piece of metal and some bolts to hold it together, it even came with the Allan key to tighten it! Then you just clip on the baby seat and you are ready to go!

They ran around with the cart for hours, and still haven't stopped. They use it to push food around like they are shopping, they fill it with books, toys, tools, and of course dollies! I love that there is a spot for your doll to push around just like I push Brandon around! Its awesome! The only downside is that every once in a while Brandon runs into my feet, and man does that hurt!

The food sets are just what you can expect from Melissa and Doug, they are great! The magnetic bottles are realistic bottles of ketchup, jam, salad dressing and more with lids that kids can take on and off easily. The fridge food has waffles, salted butter, organic frozen veggies and more! Its all food that you would have at home and then when you are cooking dinner for your kids they can whip up whatever you are making!

Rocky Mountain Kid with a Giveaway **Closed**

He keeps them on a lot better than I had originally expected. Once we are outside and they are on, he forgets about them for the most part. He does play with them a bit of course, they have held up so well. They still look brand new and should last him for a few years until he needs a bigger pair!

I love them and couldn't be happier with them. They had 6 colors to choose from and I choose the chocolate/lime and its so cute on him. Matches everything and is very boy looking!
