Elegant Baby was kind enough to send us a beautiful set of wooden blocks for Brandon. He is so into stacking and sorting things right now. He has a set of blocks that stack inside each other and is obsessed with stacking them in the right order. Now with these new blocks from Elegant Baby he likes to sort all his wooden blocks by color and size and then stack all of the same ones together. Soon he will be able to sort by letters and start spelling out words! I think that's coming sooner than later.

The blocks are a great size for little hands and are painted beautifully. They have letters painted in upper and lower case and even thought to do extra vowels. There are animals and things painted on the other side with coordinating words matching the item. They are made really well and will be a great toy to pass down to my grand kids one day! Other than the fact that wooden toys are much safer, less toxic, than plastic toys, my favorite part is how long they last and that they can be passed down to other kids again and again!

Swedish clothing is by far my favorite! They have the most fun and funky style of kids clothing that I have ever seen! We got a full outfit for Brandon for review and he loves it, not as much as I do though! Its more of a mellow outfit, a yellow top with a barn on it and some brown cords, and not up on the site yet. What I love about it is that its kids friendly with the barn, Brandon loves the cow and tractor on it and I love how soft it is and how well made it is. Its holding up to his wear and tear extremely well. The pants have a really nice soft cotton waist band above the corduroy so they are a nice soft fit at his waist and don't dig in like button up cords can.

He even got some really cute matching socks. There is a barn on and some stripped ones! He asks to wear them all the time, he is allowed to choose his undies and socks and I pick his clothes. So he must really like them if he wants to wear them all the time!!! I really wished I had picked out something for Kristina because she really likes to wear the funky crazy and different clothing! Oneida doesn't just sell flatwear, although they sell some really neat kids flatwear! They are definitely well known for it but its certainly not all that they carry! They have a huge selection of dinnerwear, bakewear, cookwear and so much more! You really have to take a look around their site and see what they have! They have so many different price points if you are looking for gifts and you can find someone for almost everyone weather they are into cooking, baking, hosting party's or even drinking wine!

We got a set of the Culinaria set if cocoa and I love it! Its gorgeous and nice and solid! They have a really nice weight to them and are holding up so well! They have been banged around lots and so far look good as new! I had some old plates that looked nice, they were cheapies, and as soon as I sat them on the kitchen table they were lopsided. One spun around, the center bottom was lower than the bottom. These dishes from Oneida are superior and will definitely be my go to brand the next time I need to purchase dishes.

I love the easy care that come along with them. They are microwave and dishwasher safe, the color will last and last and they aren't about to chip any time soon! The bowls are an awesome size, not to small like so many others I have used and the plates hold the perfect amount of food. I love the side plates as well, not tiny but hold a good sized salad or are good for lunch! The mugs are a great size too! They hold a great sized mug of coffee or hot cocoa and feel so nice in your hand!

I have become a little bit obsessed with wall art ;) It is such an easy way to change up the look of a room drastically and with easy or to just give it some color or fun! I am a huge fan of books for my kids and don't think they will ever have enough! Books are something that I believe you can never have to many of! They are fun, educational and great for the mind! The best part is that at 8 and 2 1/2 they both love this CD, that's hard to find! The book is great, it has really nice artwork and is bright and colorful. It makes it so that Brandon is always going back to it to have me read it again. I love that its a pretty simple story but that they describe so many things that are on the plane or that the plane does. It would also be a great book if you were taking your kids on their first flight!



Books are a great gift for any aged child, even a newborn to use soon and any parent that I know would be thrilled to add to their book collection rather than there always huge toy collection!

Holiday Gift Guide - Pixie Dust Kids with a Giveaway **Closed**

I started Pixie Dust Kids because I wanted to do something that I love and be able to stay home with my three beautiful girls at the same time. I started to design creations that are inspired by what I want for my own children, but cannot easily find elsewhere.

I love seeing my babies curl up in a cozy towel or snuggle into their blankets that they love and cherish. Having them all personalized with their name and own applique makes them special and unique.

I think that quality in their everyday items is a necessity. I want them to be durable yet fashionable. Everything that is created by me is machine washable and tumble dry the only rule is Do Not Iron. I believe that it is important that all my products from a face cloth to housecoats are made with care, quality, comfort and safety in mind.

Brandon has lots of blankets and throws and they are a lot easier to find than one for Kristina. She is much taller and would love a nice cozy blanket to snuggle up with and I just couldn't find her one! Whenever Brandon gets a new one or she is really cold and trying to cuddle up with one of his it comes up again!

I can't wait until she unwraps this gorgeous study blanket on Christmas morning! I actually just took it over to stash at my Mother-in-laws and she loved it! Its so soft and a really generous size! It is embroidered with Kristina's name and I just know she is going to love it! Wild and crazy print with a solid pink minkey fabric on the back! I want to curl up with it, we will have to see if shes going to share! Its a great size at 60" by 40" and I know she will use it all the time, on the couch, on the bed, and drag it all over the place!

Holiday Gift Guide - Diane Lai

We are a skin care company focused on all natural ingredients ideal for infants, toddlers and anyone with highly sensitive skin.

In July 2007 our son was born a healthy 6 lbs. He was a little raisin in the beginning but very quickly gained weight. However, after a few weeks he started to show signs of a red rash on his cheeks, under his neck, at the back of his neck and on his stomach and along his diaper waistline. I searched the Internet and researched all my baby books. There was some flakiness on his head as well which I determined was cradle cap. The doctor said it was normal and very common in newborns. I did not think it was very common when he started scratching incessantly. He scratched to the point of drawing blood and open sores. When the scratching began to impact his sleep I knew we needed to take more drastic action. I suspected eczema or atopic dermatitis, which it is commonly called. Eczema is a form of dermatitis (inflammation of the skin). There are several different types of dermatitis or atopic eczema, or atopic dermatitis but without proper context, it means nothing more than a rash. I began to take note of anything that came into contact with his skin that may cause further irritation.

I needed to moisturize my son’s skin to help relieve the itching but was shocked when I started reading the ingredients on many baby lotions and creams and realized they contained harsh chemicals for my baby such as parabens, lanolin, paraffin, mineral oil, and phthalates. I found it difficult to understand the good lotions versus bad. My relentless research and understanding of what works for these types of conditions has led me to start my company Diane Lai For Soft Skin to develop all natural products for infants, toddlers and anyone else with highly sensitive skin. My company’s merchandise provides unique properties that are effective and pure. I have super sensitive skin with some eczema and rosacea thrown in the mix! Sadly I have passed this down to Brandon and I hate that he is going to have to go through what I go through, especially in the Winter! Right now I am madly scratching at my thighs and hands because they are so so itchy!! Even if I use cream everyday it doesn't ever go away! I can't stand it!

I love when I find a new product that will help me out and make it a bit less painful and annoying! Diane Lai has some amazing products that are getting rave reviews and I have to agree with them! I got to try out the Soothe and love it, although I didn't really read it well enough because I thought it was just for my face everyday, not to soothe everywhere lol. Off I go to put it on my hands and thighs right now!

Diane Lai has two basic products! The Soothe and the Rejuvenate. The Sooth is meant to sooth red rough patches and helps with the itching, irritation and discomfort. The Rejuvenate is the daily moisturizing lotion that you use to maintain your skin and keep in from becoming red, dry, irritated and itchy!

If you or someone you know has eczema and/or dry red itchy skin this could be the answer they have been looking for. It would be a great gift in the stocking or under the tree. I know I personally have spent hundreds of dollars on products that didn't work and love this. Had someone bought this for me I would have been over the moon with its results and sooooo happy!

Holiday Gift Guide - Burt's Bees

I have always been a huge fan of Burt's Bees! I use their After Sun Soother and have for a two years! As soon as I found it I was thrilled! I used to use just aloe and it was messy and sticky and I didn't like it but it worked OK. Once I tried Burt's Bees After Sun Soother I was hooked. It rubs in smooth and isn't sticky at all. I like to keep it in the fridge so its nice and refreshing and cool when I apply it! It helps my skin so much and as much as I apply sunscreen I need to use this a few times a year!

Burt's Bees sent me some Nourishing Milk and Honey Body Lotion and I was not disappointed. Its great, rubs in nicely and has a nice light scent to it. Its great on my dry winter skin and isn't greasy at all! That's huge to me in a lotion. I can't stand and won't use lotion if its greasy!

Holiday Gift Guide - Innocent Earth with a Giveaway **Closed**

Holiday Gift Guide - The Turkish Towel Company with a Giveaway **Closed**

Deep in the mountains of Southern Turkey there is a small village nestled under snow capped peaks. In this mountain hamlet called Babadag, lived and worked many of the master weavers of Turkish carpets. Legend has it that sometime during the 15th Century, one of these craftsmen decided to try weaving towels in the same manner that he wove rugs. Previous to this, all towels in the world were flat woven and had no loops. This weaver thought that the same loops that were used in carpet weaving would make a better towel and in fact the addition of loops to the towel did make it absorb water much faster. The Body Shop is one place that I am sure to hit up every Holiday season to pick up something for someone! I usually get my mom a big basket full of goodies from there every year. Its the best to get gifts for any woman, and lots of men too, for the Holidays! Do you know many women who don't love a nice long relaxing bath? Most women love that and The Body Shop has so many great things to go along with it!

I have my go to scents, vanilla, white musk, and love, and I always like to try out something new. I don't think that I have ever tried anything from The Body Shop that I didn't like.

Another great thing I do at the Holidays is pick up a few extra things from The Body Shop for those last minute gifts that you didn't think of. The teacher, paper delivery girl, bus driver, hostess gift and more. And hey, if you don't end up giving them all away you can use them to relax yourself with them once the Holidays are over!
