Ouchies is definitely a company I will be keeping on my radar! They have the coolest band aids I have ever seen, yes, way cooler than Sponge Bob or Barbie! They have three different kinds, girls, boys, and make your own. I love them, they are great for all ages, my son who is 18 months doesn't care but how cool will he look with a band aid covered in camo or flames? And my daughter who is 6 loves them! They are great for teenagers and even adults. How many times have you gone out only to forget that your wearing a Dora band aid on your arm?

My daughter was pretty excited when they arrived and wanted to decorate some of the make your own ones right away. So I said sure, it does say on the package after all that they can cover real owwies and fake ones :) So she did one up for her and one for her brother. Urban Bratz

I was lucky enough to be able to review a shirt from Urban Bratz. They have some of the funkiest kids clothes I have seen! Reading all of the shirts online actually had me laughing out loud! I choose the Mamma's Boy T for review and its cuter in person, if you thought that was possible. The sizing seems true to size, they were all out of size 2 in that shirt so I got a 3 to be on the safe side and its way to big for him right now, that's OK though because I am hoping he will still be a big mamma's boy next year!

Piggy Paint Giveaway! ***Closed***

So we have another great giveaway for you on Fun and Funky Mommy! Piggy Paint has joined us and has a great giveaway for you. We had the great opportunity to review a package of remover and a polish from Piggy Paint. The colors that they have are gorgeous and my daughter who is 6 just loved it! The first thing I did when I recieved them is smell them. I know, but they claim that they don't have the smell that your typical polish has and guess what.....they don't!!!

First I removed my old red polish with the remover and it worked just as well as any other remover, BUT, it didn't stink! Ususally I hide in the bathroom so nobody else has to smell it and put the cap on after everytime I get some more on the toilet paper but I didn't need to. It worked great! Then we painted Kristinas nails and this stuff is awsome! Its just as good of quality as other brands but you don't have to worry when they chew there nails or what have you. Its a great product and I would recomend it to any mom, or non mom as it would be, you don't have to be a kid to enjoy this stuff!

Here's a little bit on how they got started: One day while we were painting nails over a foam plate, my daughter dropped a glob of her solvent-based polish onto the plate. Shortly after, the paint began to bubble and “ate” through the plate. I looked in dismay a

t the hole in the plate and decided to test all of her other “kid” polishes on the foam. Within minutes, ALL of the solvent-based polishes began to bubble and eventually left big holes in the plate. From that day on, I decided that any flammable substance that could eat through foam was unacceptable for my children’s fingernails, which would inevitably end up in their mouths. How gross is that? This is something I hadn't put a lot of thought into myself until I read this. Think off all of the chemicals on toys and stuff that you keep away from your kids because it goes into there mouth and you don't want it in there little bodies. There are so many toxins out there that we are aware of and keep away from our kids, yet we have no problem coating our kids fingernails with polish that can contain so much garbage. Piggy paint is free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone.....and made in the USA! You can't get any better than that!

Buy Soap Nuts Review and Giveaway ** CLOSED**

So I received some soap nuts and a coconut scrub pad from Buy Soap Nuts. Soap nuts are a nut from a tree to put it plainly. They are harvested as nuts and can be used in your laundry in place of laundry detergent and fabric softener. You can also make then into a liquid form. When in a liquid form it can be used for cleaning, liquid hand soap, shampoo, mosquito repellent, and much more. Here is the recipe:



To Make Soap nuts Liquid:


Boil approximately 12-15 whole soapnuts with 6 cups of water for 30 minutes. When it is boiled down, you will have about 4c. of liquid left. Add extra water, if needed, to keep it at that amount. When cooled, remove the soap nuts, and pour the liquid into an airtight plastic or glass jar. It is better to make the liquid in smaller batches as it can spoil. Experiment with making liquid to see if you prefer a more concentrated version, using 3 cups water instead of 6 cups. Some prefer the concentrated liquid for hand washing and shampoo.


To make liquid from soap nuts powder, add 1/4c powder to 6 cups of water and simmer for 30 minutes. Strain the sediment, or use as is. Store in an plastic or glass jar.


NEW!!! You can also freeze the liquid in ice cube trays as well. Depending on the size of each ice cube, use two or three per load of laundry. If each ice cube holds about 1Tbsp, use two ice cubes.



To use Soap nuts as they are in the laundry you place 4 Soap Nuts in the small muslin bag, tie it closed, and throw it into the drum of your washing machine along with your articles of clothing that need washing. You can reuse this batch for 4 or 5 loads of laundry. The soap nuts will be mushy and gray when they need to be composted for your garden. Alternatively, you can use 3Tbsp (45mL) of soapnuts liquid detergent per large load of laundry.


Soapnuts are perfect for HE and front load washers as they do not create many suds! Just remember to put whole soapnuts in the drum of the machine. Soapnuts liquid can go in the detergent drawer. They are a very economical to use, they work great in cold water and you don't need fabric softener! I love that. I didn't really believe it until I tried it!



The coconut scrub pad that I also got to try out is awesome. Its hard to find scrubbers for your dishes that are not plastic or something you need to throw out every few days! This coconut scrub pad is holding up super! It doesn't have any smell to it after using for about 2 weeks and looks good as new still. Its just made from coconut coir fiber bound together by a non-toxic adhesive. Great stuff!

Well I had heard a lot about Swagbucks but hadn't thought that I would bother. I don't know why but I guess I thought it would be a lot of work. It totally isn't. Ecobotts Review

I have heard about Ecobotts before and really wanted to give them a try. They are just a little bit more money that regular name brand disposables but on first glance, they look about the same. They don't have the silly prints on them though which is nice, just some nice small green leaves, very natural. They are just as fitted as a regular disposable diaper as well.
