Playhouse Disney becomes Disney Junior

I am sure you know by now how big of Disney fans we are in our house! Brandon's favorite new show is Jake and the Never Land Pirates! He is big into pirates right now, thanks to Disney and Playmobile! This new show just feeds on his Pirate addiction. It doesn't matter how many times he has seen the episode where Captain Hook took the shell, he will watch it again and again and again. Thank goodness I don't have to keep watching it with him.

On Friday Playhouse Disney changed there channel over to Disney Junior! If you didn't have a chance to check it out there are some great new shows on the lineup that you have to check out! I already mentioned Jake and the Never Land Pirate, there is also Mickey Mouskersize and even Stella and Sam!


These Disney Junior shows are fun, funny, educational and the kids love them. If you need something to watch on a rainy day or to put on while you are having a shower then this is a great choice!!

Earth Day #PlayhouseDisneyMom

While we are camping this weekend it will be Earth Day! While we try and celebrate Earth Day everyday, we try and do more on Earth Day. We will be without power, just propane, for 3 days and doing everything outside! We will be cooking, eating, sleeping, sort of, and playing outside all day. Also to help the earth daily, we turn lights out, try to use as little plastic baggies as we can, reuse them when we use them and of course recycle!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Easter special

We are so excited for Easter this year. Brandon the most, he has been talking about our Easter weekend camping trip for way to long already and we still have a week and a half to go! My husband used to go every year as a child and he and his sisters still talk about it so we thought why not start a new tradition of going again with his mom, all his sisters and their kids! Let the memory making begin!

Playhouse Disney has even gotten in on some Easter fun. On Sunday morning, April 24th at 9 am, you can see the new episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse called Mickeys Great Clubhouse Hunt! Its about how Pete says the password incorrectly and the whole clubhouse blows away and Mickey and his pals have to spend the day looking for it far and wide! Looks like a good one! PS - have you seen the ads for Jake and the Neverland Pirates? I can't wait untill it comes out! Brandon is going to love it!

What do you do with your kids for the Easter weekend? We are planning hot dog roasts, smores, and of course lots of coloring, digging in the dirt and egg decorating! Any tips anyone has for decorating eggs I am all ears! All we usually do is set up a few cardboard bowls, so we can just throw them out after, with food coloring and water in them and then we just dip the eggs in the colors and put them on the drying rack, that comes with the kit lol. We have also written on the eggs in crayons just to have it look a little different. Brandon is going to put stickers all over his and I might pick up a few kits that make the eggs look a little speckled. I think Kristina would be into using regular paint to just paint eggs with a thick paint. Can't wait!

March Mouskersize

While its starting to warm up outside, finally, we still have inside days where its just to rainy, windy or just plain cold to go outside! To keep the kids from just sitting on the couch all day, well that's not totally going to happen, but to keep them from driving me crazy, we dance, run around and play the tickle and wrestling game! It keeps them active, we chase each other around the house, dance our butts off, and Daddy loves to get them all wound up wrestling with them!

They love it but we are always looking for more ideas of what to do when the weather just isn't on our side! Have you seen the new Mickey Mousekersize episodes on Playhouse Disney? They are awesome! They have totally kept Brandon entertained, yelling at the TV and jumping up and down! They even intrigued Kristina at 8 and had her jumping around the living room!

The idea behind Mickey Mousekersize is to get your kids up off the couch and moving! Mickey and his pals sure managed to do that! They were singing and dancing and shaking all sorts of things! Brandon was pointing out the bikes and balls on the walls and singing right alongside his pals!!!
