Glad Rags with a giveaway **Closed**

"Reusable pads. That's gross!" That's a comment we've heard more than once. But just envision your lifetime supply of used pads and tampons in landfills or washed up on a beach. Now that is gross! The menstrual cycle is a healthy and natural process and it is our mission to create healthy products and market with a positive spin. Language is a powerful force. By talking about our cycles more openly - with positive images and language - we believe women can re-define menstruation.

With how many things we are 'greening' in our households why is it that reusable cloth mama pads are one of the last things that we talk about? They are great for the environment, so comfy, and can save you a boat load of cash. I have been using cloth pantyliners daily now for almost a year and love them. They keep me feeling so much more fresh and are so soft and comfy. I still haven't switched over fully to cloth, I am a tampon kind of girl. But I really want to pick up a keeper or moon cup. You never run out of tampons, run the risk of getting TSS and aren't putting chemicals right into your body.



Until I am sure that that's the way I want to go Glad Rags sent me some pads to try out in the meantime. They are so comfortable and kind of remind me of cloth diapers. The heavy pads have a spot in them to insert more soakers. You add one or more depending on how heavy your period is. They are so easy to wash and take care of. You can even purchase a little soaking bucket for beside the toilet to hold them until it is wash time. You can also just go find an old ceramic bucket that suits your decor to hold them in.



The pads come in an assortment of different colors and organic cotton so you can get whatever suits your fancy. I wish there was organic cotton in prints so that it can hide the stains and is still organic. They don't stain badly but eventually you do get some discoloration.
