Livie and Luca with Giveaway **Closed**

Livie and Luca was started up by 3 moms who were looking for modern and funky baby shoes that were still flexible, soft, lightweight and affordable. They couldn't find anything that fit their criteria so they started chatting with other moms. When they realized that other moms were having the same problem they thought about filling that niche themselves. After many years of research and sleepless nights Livie and Luca was born in May of 2005.


Livie and Luca is committed to sharing their unique style with families who may not always want to shop at a “big box” store by offering their baby and toddler shoes online, through in-home parties, and through special boutiques. How cool is that? I would love to go to a baby and toddler shoe home party.

Something else that I like about Livie and Luca is that they reuse all of their leather scraps. They don't just throw them out, they use them for another design. Each pair of shoes is hand made. The artisans even get to leave their own unique mark on each of the shoes that they make, underneath the strap. Because they are all handmade each pair of shoes is unique, they differ just slightly than the others of the same design. I like knowing that someone held these shoes in their hands and created them, not just someone operating a machine.


Don't know what to do with your child's shoes once they outgrow them? Livie and Luca has the answer. Livie & Luca has partnered with Art for Humanity to arrange for the delivery of donated children's shoes to low-income families in Honduras, the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Art for Humanity is a humanitarian organization that was formed to assist impoverished families to use their current skills to begin micro-businesses. You can't help but feel good doing that.

We were sent the Emilios in Lime for Brandon and love them. They are actually sized and so adorable. They are an amazing quality and a shoe that I feel great about putting on my sons feet. They even seem a bit wider than the average shoe which is great because so many kids seem to have wide feet. They are chubby or just plain wide. We love our shoes! Thank you Livie and Luca.
