Chocolate Cheerios and a coupon for a free box!

How do chocolate Cheerios sound to you? With my affiliation with Life Made Delicious I was lucky enough to be able to try them out before they even hit the shelves in Canada! I was pretty excited to try them and man are they good! They make a great snack just dry and of course they are great with milk, think nice chocolaty milk. They are also great with all sorts of easy recipes from Life Made Delicious!

These are not just special occasion sugar cereal like at our house, we rarely buy sugar cereal because, well, you just don't need more sugar during the day! You may be surprised to know that the new Chocolate Cheerios have only 9g of sugar! That's really not bad at all!! They are also made with whole grains, low in fat, high in fiber, and naturally flavoured with real cocoa!

If this is something you want to try then do I have a deal for you! There is a one day only coupon for a FREE box of Chocolate Cheerios! If you go to Websaver.ca on May 1st you can get the coupon for the FREE box of Chocolate Cheerios and then on June 21st only you can go to any store that carries them, and get them for FREE!!!! They hit stores on June 3rd so if you can't wait until June 21st you can always pick up a box early ;)

Check out all of the easy recipes that will be starting to show up at Life Made Delicious!

Earth Day #PlayhouseDisneyMom

While we are camping this weekend it will be Earth Day! While we try and celebrate Earth Day everyday, we try and do more on Earth Day. We will be without power, just propane, for 3 days and doing everything outside! We will be cooking, eating, sleeping, sort of, and playing outside all day. Also to help the earth daily, we turn lights out, try to use as little plastic baggies as we can, reuse them when we use them and of course recycle!

What do you do to celebrate Earth day everyday or special just for Earth Day?

Hippity Hop here comes the Easter Bunny

Brandon has been talking about this camping trip for almost a month now! He has had his backpack all packed with toys for a good three weeks and is all ready to go! He refers to his cousins as his kids and is so beyond excited to spend a whole weekend with his kids having fun! We pack up tomorrow and we are off, Internet free, for 3 whole days.

I was a bit nervous at first, with the whole no Internet thing, but now I am excited about it. I am always on the computer so it will be nice to have no distractions. I am going to play with the kids, nap, read books, knit and roast marshmallows! We are going to decorate eggs and have a huge Easter egg hunt with all the kids! Best Easter ever! Wish me luck and I hope all of you have the best Easter weekend ever!

UV Skinz with a Giveaway **Closed**

What Drives Us?

We treasure our family and friends and, quite simply, that’s how we came to be.
Please read on for the reasons why we come to this place every day
and the philosophy that governs us—

Above all else, our passion is that kids live Sun Safe.
We DO Live in Our Skinz!
We know that one less sunburn makes a difference.
Lemonade stands breed genius.
We believe it takes just as long to do it wrong as it takes to get it right.
There is no excuse for ignorance.
Do what you love and the money will follow.
Barefoot is best.
Attention to detail sets us apart.
We think, therefore we are.
We have all been touched by cancer.
Our door is always open.
Some rules ARE meant to be broken.
Margaritaville is a real place.
Our conscience guides us.
Chocolate and peanut butter rules!
Our grassroots create our path.
Laughter heals!
We celebrate out of the ordinary.
If you do not try, you have already failed.
We love our work and we work for love.
We believe pizza brings people together.
Respect is earned but compassion is free-of-charge.
We want you to be a part of our family.
We will make a difference. (This is for you, Darren. We miss you!)

We have used UV Skinz for the last couple of years and they are our favorite piece of UV wear! They are sized great, long lasting and of course work well! Wearing just a bathing suit doesn't cut it anymore with how strong the sun is! You can put on sunscreen but if you are swimming or even sweating a lot it isn't always enough.

With skin cancer popping up more and more its very important to everything we can to prevent it. Having bad burns as a child makes you much more likely to have skin cancer as an adult. I don't know about you but I will do anything to protect my kids from everyone and anything that I can. Its easy with UV Skinz! They are cute, as easy to wear as a swimsuit and the kids love them! They have lots of different styles, one pieces, long sleeved shirts, short sleeved shirts, shorts and even tops for mom and dad too!

We always go with the long sleeved style because I figure the more that they are covered the better! Kristina picked out the Ava in long sleeves with thematching top and loves it! I can't wait to set up the pool, slather her face and we are off!!

UV Skinz has offered up any one piece from their site to one lucky winner!

Coupons in Canada

I love coupons, I really really do I just am not that good at using them yet! Sometimes its obvious when to use them and find them, like when they are on the grocery store shelf and its for a free product! I was stocking up on way to much food for camping this weekend and saw a display of some cereals that my kids will go crazy for! Nestle and Lucky Charms, yup, I love Lucky Charms too, they had coupons on the box for free ice cream!

You can't get any better than free ice cream. Its not even for a specific brand. You can use it for up to $5.00 off any ice cream, bars, or cones! I love it, the cereal didn't even cost me that much! One of the sites I use for coupons is save.ca and then of course there are lots of flyers that come in with the newspaper that I clip. I don't know how they do it in the states though where they save like 95% off of their bill!

I would love to be an extreme couponer! Any tips you ladies have I am open to hearing anything! Have you got this $1 off Cheerios coupon from Life Made Delicious? They have lots of easy recipes and are always putting up lots of coupons as well so keep an eye out! PS I don't have a hard time using the coupons, the shopping is the easy part ;) I just need to find out where to get more of them!

Renting textbooks?

When I went to college I was so stunned about the $900 bill that I had for textbooks that I would never use again! I couldn't believe it, I would have spent that much on rent for 2 months! Did you know that there was a company out there that you could rent your textbooks from? I had no idea and I bet a lot of you didn't either and this awesome news! You can actually afford to eat as a student when you are saving so much on textbooks thanks to Campus Book Rentals!

So strange as it is my first question was can you highlight in the book, weird I know, but that's what I remember doing to my books in college! And you can, you just need to keep it relevant as someone else will use it after you!

There is a FAQ section on the site you can check out here on the bottom at the left and there is so much more information available there as well! You can rent your books for the year, quarter or by semester, or even just for the Summer, there are so many ways to make it work the way you need it to. You can even purchase the books when you are done if you feel like you need to keep it! I don't know what person in school wouldn't be interested in this so feel free to pass along he info about Campus Book Rentals!

Magnum Ice Cream Bars

The delectable crack of fine Belgian chocolate, silky smooth ice cream, the rich taste of luxury—this is Magnum®, the World’s Pleasure Authority™. An international ice cream sensation loved in 40 countries, Magnum achieves full national distribution in Canada in May 2011. The super premium ice cream recognized around the world as a symbol of indulgent pleasure is joining forces with Ivanka Trump for the Magnum Canadian premiere. To celebrate the luxurious launch, Ms. Trump will be hosting an exclusive affair in Toronto on May 11, where she will officially introduce the decadent brand to pleasure-seeking Canadians. The Magnum thick Belgian chocolate-coated ice cream experience has been the buzz of indulgent world travelers who have longed for its arrival. At long last, Canada’s Magnum moment is here. No more passports and expensive flights. This premium indulgent ice cream pleasure will soon be as close as your local supermarket.

I love my ice cream. I really love a good ice cream bar and have found another amazing one! Although they don't fully come out until May you can definitely find them in some stores now! I tried out the double caramel bars and they were to die for. Some of the most creamy and delicious chocolate, very high quality, and the caramel was so soft and melty. The ice cream part was soooo good to, you would really taste the vanilla in it!

My husband isn't usually to helpful with reviews, he has a few things to say but not much, I swear that after every single bite he had something else to say about how good they were. He was pretty annoyed to that I ate the first one without him, they come in boxes of three. He was impressed with all of it, the chocolate, caramel and the ice cream. We don't usually buy this type of ice cream bars because they can be expensive but these are so worth the $2 a bar. We will definitely be buying more of these!

They come in Double Chocolate, Double Caramel, Dark, White, Almond and Classic, I really want to try the White next time but hubby doesn't like white chocolate.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Easter special

We are so excited for Easter this year. Brandon the most, he has been talking about our Easter weekend camping trip for way to long already and we still have a week and a half to go! My husband used to go every year as a child and he and his sisters still talk about it so we thought why not start a new tradition of going again with his mom, all his sisters and their kids! Let the memory making begin!

Playhouse Disney has even gotten in on some Easter fun. On Sunday morning, April 24th at 9 am, you can see the new episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse called Mickeys Great Clubhouse Hunt! Its about how Pete says the password incorrectly and the whole clubhouse blows away and Mickey and his pals have to spend the day looking for it far and wide! Looks like a good one! PS - have you seen the ads for Jake and the Neverland Pirates? I can't wait untill it comes out! Brandon is going to love it!

What do you do with your kids for the Easter weekend? We are planning hot dog roasts, smores, and of course lots of coloring, digging in the dirt and egg decorating! Any tips anyone has for decorating eggs I am all ears! All we usually do is set up a few cardboard bowls, so we can just throw them out after, with food coloring and water in them and then we just dip the eggs in the colors and put them on the drying rack, that comes with the kit lol. We have also written on the eggs in crayons just to have it look a little different. Brandon is going to put stickers all over his and I might pick up a few kits that make the eggs look a little speckled. I think Kristina would be into using regular paint to just paint eggs with a thick paint. Can't wait!

Disclosure: I'm part of the Playhouse Disney Moms program and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. All opinions on this blog are my own!

Cadbury giveaway **Closed**

Cadbury is one of my all time favorites! Every year I can't wait for my favorite gooey treats to hit the shelves and then my pantry. I am stocked up until a little past Easter! The cream eggs are made with super yummy milk chocolate and then filled with the best gooey filling ever. I have never found another chocolate egg that I love as much. The big ones are so good but the mini cream eggs are the best. You can put it all in your mouth at the same time and it melts and all gets mixed together perfectly before its gone. They are the best!!!

This year for Easter we are going with my husbands family camping and we are all so excited. Brandon has been talking about it for weeks and I don't know how he is going to manage waiting another week and a half. I always plan on giving my kids lots of Cadbury cream eggs but usually end up eating most of them last minute before Easter. This year will be even harder to hide them from the kids because we have to pack them to go camping. Hopefully that will stop me from eating them all before hand though.

We are going to decorate eggs and then do a big hunt for the decorated eggs and of course lots of chocolate ones on Sunday morning before we leave. I can't wait! I have two beautiful Cadbury baskets for two very lucky Canadian readers! My basket hasn't arrived yet but I can't wait to start sampling when it arrives! They are filled with a Cadbury chocolate bunny, cream eggs, mini caramel eggs, the mini eggs at a value of $50! Cadbury wants your help to spread the goo! Check it out here! The Cadbury brand is making Easter more egg-citing than ever with the launch of a new outrageous sport — Cad-apulting! Canadians are invited to harness their flinging skills and splatter Cadbury Creme Egg* goo virtually anywhere in the world!

Umi Shoes with a giveaway

I love shoes! Shoes for me, or of course the kids! Kristina definitely has my shoe addiction and I think Brandon is getting it to! I love matching the kids shoes to their outfit and of course they need different shoes for each type that you can get! Runners, sandals, flip flops, boots and so much more. Its fun :)

Umi has so many wonderful shoes on their site! I have a really hard time choosing just one pair. I have received shoes for both of my kids in the past and they have help up so so well. The leather doesn't just rub off at the toes and look worn, they have both, at 8 and 3, never worn out a pair of Umi shoes before they have outgrown them! They carry from a little size 1 to a child's size 6 so you can get all of your kids shoes in one shop!

This time around I choose the Nyoni in Olive for Brandon and he loves them. He wants to wear them all the time, even when its raining. He doesn't seem to understand the concept of just wearing sandals in the Summer. They have a nice soft lining on the bottom and are very comfortable for him! They are adjustable from three sides. The back and two across the foot. Another one of my favorites, that I wanted but Umi didn't have in Brandon's size was the Nile! Its gorgeous! Be sure to check out Umi on facebook for updates, sales and of course some giveaways!

Lucky for you Umi has offered up a pair of shoes in any size and style for one lucky winner!

Bamboosa with a Giveaway

My newest niece arrived on Feb 8th and I have been what you call smitten ever since! I seriously can't get enough of this gorgeous girl and lucky for me Brandon is the same! That makes me feel better about going over there at least once a week! When I had the chance to try out something from Bamboosa I couldn't wait to pick out something cute and pink! I decided on the P is for panda cuddlesac and its even cuter in person!

The best part is how soft it was. I can just tell when something is made with Bamboo now, it is so soft, its indescribable how soft it is! My Sister in law was surprised how soft it was. If it was long sleeved it would be great right now while its a bit cold still, because bamboo can keep you warm and cool depending on how warm or cold the person wearing it is. It was sized wonderfully, we got the 0-6 months size and should definitely fit her until shes 6 months. Stokke - The Tripp Trapp chair

What did you look for when you were looking to buy your first highchair? I wanted something that was easy to clean, comfortable and of course you want it to look nice in your house! That really is a big part of it. Your little one can be in a highchair from 4 months to 3 years! That's almost 3 years of this big thing being in your kitchen, and that's if you only have one baby! If you have another you can add a few more years to that! Stokke has answered everyone's prayers with there gorgeous Tripp Trapp!!

The Tripp Trapp® chair, created in 1972 by the designer Peter Opsvik, has never been bettered. In 1972, revolution was a fact. Back then no one had seen anything like the Tripp Trapp®, and almost 40 years later it is still unique: the only child’s chair that can take you from baby to adult, keeping you secure and comfortable all the way. The Tripp Trapp® designer’s inspiration came from watching his own young son, Tor, struggle to find a comfortable position to sit in at their family table. Having grown out of his old-fashioned high-chair, but still far too small to sit on an adult’s chair, Tor was left dangling his legs and struggling to reach the table.

Highchairs are definitely an investment and if you do it right the first time it can last years and years and throughout many kids! If you don't you find yourself buying more than one and never ending up super happy with any of them, if you are like me! When the Tripp Trapp arrived I couldn't have been more excited to put it together! Brandon was just as excited, he got to help me with the tools!

Here are some of my favorite features of the Stokke Tripp Trapp! I love that you can use it from age of being able to hold their head up to adult! You can easily adjust the height when you want someone else to use it or when your little one grows and it needs a change. There are all sorts of attachments that you can get to make it more suited to your child and your needs. You can adjust it to many different table heights or even a desk!

The Tripp Trapp is so easy to clean, you just wipe it down with no cracks and crevices for food to hide in. I love that there isn't a vinyl cover for it because they just soak up the food and end up disgusting! Because of how the Tripp Trapp is made its very good for teaching your child good posture and provides great back support. It is made out of cultivated beechwood and comes in a huge variety of colors!

After Brandon used the chair for about a week we decided that he would go back to his homemade booster from his great papa and Kristina would use the Tripp Trapp. She has a really hard time sitting up to the table properly and she just looks uncomfortable so we thought this would be perfect for her. Turns out its great for her! She can sit up to the table at the perfect height, without dangling feet, without having to lean forward and end up with a frustrated girl and parents!

I would highly recommend this chair to anyone who is looking for one! I even read a great article on why this is a great chair for someone with a disability. Google it, I don't have permission to link to it! Also be sure to check out the other amazing products from Stokke! They have an amazing organizing system that I would die for!

Watkins - Have you tried it?

I have heard of Watkins as I am sure many of you have but have you ever tried it? All I had ever tried was the hand lotion that my mother in law had picked up at a garage sale, sealed, last Summer. When I had the chance to try some of the Watkins products out I was very excited!

Nestled in the Mississippi River Bluff town of Winona, MN., Watkins has been America’s pioneer in natural living since 1868. As America’s original natural apothecary manufacturer, Watkins uses only the finest natural ingredients in its diverse lines of personal care, home care, remedies and organic flavorings. Committed to being America’s most trusted natural products company, Watkins adheres strictly to the same quality standards set forth by its founder J.R. Watkins. Its J.R. Watkins Natural Apothecary line of personal care contains only natural, environmentally friendly ingredients from renewable resources, avoiding chemicals like parabens, sulfates, phthalates and more and is one of very few lines to be certified by the Natural products Association.

The cough medicine didn't taste like a Bucklys but didn't taste good! It worked awesome, which is why we still use it but it sure wasn't yummy! The BBQ Seasoning blend smells sooo good and is great on chicken, steak and even the potatoes! I haven't made the garden vegetable dip but its great to use as flavour in almost anything! We like it in mashed potatoes, on roasted potatoes, rice and even more!!! Something that I love about the Watkins spices is that you don't just have to use them how they recommend. Don't get me wrong, they have a great recipe and ideas but you aren't limited to just that! You can do almost anything with them!

If you haven't checked out Watkins yet I recommend you check out the site and then contact Darlene and she can hook you up! You can also do Watkins Party to earn free product, you can also just get all your friends to check it out and put an order in together so that you can save $ that way and have an online party ;) If you check it out let me know what you try!
